Cyborg Asylum - No Kingdom

Cyborg Asylum is a producer-singer duo made up of members David Varga and John Tumminia. The group creates electro post-industrial alt-rock and their music hits hard emotionally, backed by excellent technical proficiency. Today we take another listen to Cyborg Asylum with their single “No Kingdom”.

“No Kingdom” features relatively calm and subdued verses that build through a pre-chorus; the track then erupts with a great deal of power during the chorus. The robotic melody of the pre-chorus seems to help flush in some dystopian feelings and the lyrics during the chorus seem to give off strong feelings of reflection and doom, directly mentioning “no S.O.S.” and “no kingdom left”. “No Kingdom” is a strong display of John Tumminia’s vocal skills and the backing track helps solidify the power presented by the vocals. Overall, the song features a lot of the elements that made 2000’s hard rock outstanding but also features Cyborg Asylum’s own unique sonic touches.

Cyborg Asylum is a group that rocks hard with every effort and “No Kingdom” does not disappoint in that regard. The track is yet another one you will want to play loud and rock out to but the way that it makes you think about its lyrical deeper meaning is what makes it truly special. You can keep up with Cyborg Asylum through their website and Instagram and as always we have “No Kingdom” embedded below!
