Echo Messenger - Rocky Gibraltar
Echo Messenger is a music project created by Stagefright veteran James Bracken. Partnering with Rochester producer Fires of Denmark, Bracken has crafted quite a large catalog of music and is now releasing his latest material under the name Echo Messenger. Today we take a listen to Echo Messenger’s track “Rocky Gibraltar”.
“Rocky Gibraltar” captures the kind of alt-indie sound that I feel is extremely exciting. This track is extraordinarily melodic, up-tempo and overall exciting to listen to. The guitar work is absolutely superb, pairing with a groovy bassline to really suck you in; for me, this also served to get me to listen closer to the vocals on the track, where the real melodic show starts to shine through. For me, the greatest part of the track is how Indie it manages to sound while still maintaining key pop sensibilities; each individual piece of this track is on-point and infectious, giving off a danceable vibe that is easily enjoyable.
I really enjoy “Rocky Gibraltar” and I suggest you all take a listen to more of what James Bracken and his project Echo Messenger have to offer. This track reminds me so much of the kind of new music I was discovering as a teenager and it really has me excited for the future of Echo Messenger - and music in general.
