HeIsTheArtist - Sumthin' Sumthin


HeIsTheArtist is (He Is The Artist) is the name under which LeeMann Bassey switched from performing secular music to worship music. We have covered quite a few of HeIsTheArtist’s tracks over time: “The Snake Charmer”, “Virgin”, “If I Were a Virgin Again” and “Childish” and today we are excited to share our thoughts on HeIsTheArtist’s cover single, “Sumthin’ Sumthin”.

“Sumthin’ Sumthin” is, of course, a cover of the legendary track from Neo-Soul artist Maxwell. As we expected from a talent as big as HeIsTheArtist, a different spin was put on this track that makes it special in comparison to the original. HeIsTheArtist’s version of the song features some excellent Disco-Funk vibes that make the track danceable and his performance on this track is definitely extremely unique compared to the original. HeIsTheArtist truly is a remarkable talent and his skill certainly comes through loud and clear in his cover of “Sumthin’ Sumthin”.
