Kevin Bape is an underground artist from Kenner, Louisiana. Bape uses music to cope with his inability to express emotions through regular conversation, adding a unique layer to the emotions and expression provided within his songs. Today are pleased to share our review of Kevin Bape’s new single, “Keep on Going”, Bape’s latest foray into pushing his limits with his music.
“Keep on Going” is a very expressive, relatable and memorable track. Featuring some true-to-life lyrics, Bape’s grounded writing and performing style adds a certain level of grit to the realness featured within his music, making it easily identifiable and easily enjoyable. The track features very solid interplay between Bape’s vocals and the backing track, developing a unique aura within the music. Indeed, “Keep on Going” is a deeply atmospheric track that is filled with a lot of soul and passion and thanks to Kevin Bape’s authentic approach, the track really hits home in a meaningful way.
Admittingly, I have never been the most conversational person when it comes to communicating with people, so one of the reasons I turned to creating music of my own was to find that common ground of relatability through music; Kevin Bape seems to have also started his journey in music this way and I find his honest approach to his songs to be refreshing and personally relatable.
