Richard Lynch - Hurtin’ Cheatin’ Lyin’ Country Song

Richard Lynch is a country music artist from Waynesville, Ohio. An active artist for over thirty years, Lynch has honed his sound through his decades of work and, as a result, he regular delights his listeners. We have previously covered Richard Lynch’s song, “Rodeo Town” and today we take a look at the aptly named “Hurtin’ Cheatin’ Lyin’ Country Song” from his album My Guitar Drips Country.

“Hurtin’ Cheatin’ Lyin’ Country Song” is a song that expresses Richard Lynch’s desire to return to the days where heartfelt and emotional country music was the norm. Utilizing clever word play and some pretty catchy vocal work, Lynch presents his message in a somewhat tongue-in-cheek manner, giving this song an extra layer of enjoyability. I can appreciate a song that calls for more emotion in music, as my personal belief is that heartfelt tunes that come from an authentic place are usually the best kinds of songs you can listen to; Lynch really gave me something I can relate to with this one.

Lynch’s album My Guitar Drips Country is definitely an awesome one; “Rodeo Town” and “Hurtin’ Cheatin’ Lyin’ Country Song” are two great examples of the kind of music you can find from Richard Lynch and both tracks are exceptional.
